Friday evening, after dinner at a friend's home, I collapsed into my bed and slept almost twelve hours.

That…felt…so…good.

For months I had been planning to get up early Saturday morning and drive the four hours to my hometown for a gathering of high school friends. At some point on Friday I realized I would have to miss it. Too much to do and too many nights of five hours or less sleep.

I hit my brick wall.

As much as I hated to miss a get-together (with live music, no less!) I'm grateful for the busy-ness of my business right now, and grateful I listened to my voice of reason. I made progress on several projects that required big chunks of time…for example, editing the wedding photos I took on Good Friday. (I told you I was behind on things!)

I'm still not finished with the photos, but I made a lot of progress. It's always such a relief to scratch dusty things like that off of a to-do list, so I'll be working on them again tonight after I publish this post. The bride should be rewarded for her patience.

Here are a few other sweet!s from my past week. I'm trying to get back on schedule!

I hope you're still keeping track of yours. Please share them in the comments.

Thursday: affirmations and inspiration that push you beyond your self-doubts

Friday: watching your puppies run with joy; playing catch-up with friends over fajitas and wine

Saturday: sleeping twelve hours; news that a friend has become a grandmother!; news that a friend will become a mother-in-law!; catching up on your work-outs

Sunday: wildflowers; late Mass with your son and daughter; watching Game of Thrones with your son; a cool night breeze blowing in from an open window

Monday: a morning spent making headway on your to-do list, and an evening helping a desperate client in her quest to find a home

An extra sweet! tonight…when taking a look at the photos of wildflowers I snapped earlier in the week, I discovered this one.

What a sweet surprise! I had no idea that little bee-like bug was coming in for a landing when I snapped the photo.

I hope the rest of your week is full of sweet surprises!

Insect photobombing – a new trend?
Running low on sleep is not healthy but sometimes life puts us in those situations.

I doubt if insect photobombing is a new thing. ๐Ÿ™‚
