About

Barbara Shallue is an Austin, Texas REALTOR. You can find more information about that on her business website.

In the years leading up to this career she truly loves, she was a writer, photographer, and blogger. Her writing credits include having several essays published in Texas magazine, which used to be part of the Houston Chronicle. She also wrote articles for her local newspaper and has several drafts of (yet) unpublished works – an historical fiction, screenplay, middle grade novel, and some picture books.

Ever since learning to write, she has been driven to make up stories, capture her thoughts, and record her memories, filling dozens and dozens of small five-year diaries, artsy journals, and spiral notebooks.  That’s one of the reasons she started this blog. All of the writing is original and belongs to her, unless otherwise accredited.

She is a reader of anything, fiction or nonfiction, that makes her laugh or cry (without manipulation), that makes her think and learn and opens doors to worlds she’s never seen or imagined, and introduces her to people she wants to know better.

She loves movies and museums, the beach and the desert. She loves big white summer clouds in a blue Texas sky. She needs time by herself but loves spending time with family and friends and meeting new people.
