Long Hollow

This was taken yesterday by my friend Leslie French with her iphone – it’s easy to see why her flight from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport was delayed for over six hours …

I love storms – huge clouds, gusty winds, lightning, thunder – as long as I can watch them from a safe place, like my back deck. What is it about them? I’ve thought of different words…invigorating, wild, exciting, powerful…but they are too overused.

At any rate…I do love watching storm clouds rolling across the sky, but I think I’m glad I didn’t see this one from my back deck.
