Judging from the way she growls and tries to gnaw on the real thing, I'm afraid whatever we got her wouldn't last long! lol

I was actually just thinking that…if you had access to 2′ x 1′ rawhide scraps you could do it quite easily (IMHO) as an at home business.

    MAKE MOLD:

    1) make a 2′ x 3.5′ x 8″ frame and fill with quick-set concrete.
    2) while concrete is mailable, cover with light plastic and push a small hand shovel onto it so that the blade and handle are just below level.
    3) let it set and remove shovel and light plasic
    4) raise frame to top of concrete and place heavy plastic into frame and shovel mold.
    5) fill with quick-set concrete and allow to set.
    6) remove top side of new mold (2 person job maybe?)

    MAKE CHEW TOY:

    1) Using outside fire-pit and large pot boil rawhide scraps until pliable.
    2) place over mold sandwiched by plastic.
    3) lower top mold so as to press rawhide into place.
    4) leave is sunlight area for 12 hours
    5) remove top mold trim excess rawhide.
    6) allow final curing and give happy dog.
    Just a thought =)
