It's only Tuesday, but it feels like this week is lasting forever! Just when I thought I had everything all organized in my head, a schedule figured out, a game plan in place on how to tackle my to-do lists AND my book AND get some sleep (AND have some fun!), life reminded me that survival is all about flexibility. Glass balls shatter when they slip out of place – rubber ones bounce.

I am going to bounce, baby. I'm not giving up that easily!

But I am so happy that tomorrow is Wednesday. It's going to be jam-packed, but I will get to bed on time – that's a promise to myself.

Thursday will be another busy day, but it will be Weekend-Eve… the day before I get to see all my kids (actually they're kind of iffy on it, still, but I'm staying positive and hopeful.)

I'll still have some work to do around here (and don't tell them, but I think their Daddy has some projects he needs help with) but I'm hoping to fit in some funny movies, walks on the property… maybe I'll get lucky and it'll cool down enough for ping-pong or just hanging out on the porch, talking.

What would really be fun is to make a funny video like the one below – I discovered it on my friend Juana's blog. It's her nephew, his wife and their teenage girls – they have a whole series of them on You Tube!

My kids would never do this, and especially not with me and Tom. The closest thing I have is a video of TG and Daniel's energetic lip sync performance to Livin' La Vida Loca several years ago (move over, Ricky Martin!) complete with costume changes, dancing, you name it. It's hilarious, but unfortunately, I can't show it to you here, much less post it on You Tube. Another one of those promises. In fact, I have to keep the tape highly guarded – there have been threats to its life!

But I can show you this one by the Longostatikz. I'm not even related to them and I think it's funny! (Click here to see more of the Longostatikz on Juana's blog, or check them out on You Tube!)

Happy Wednesday Eve!

I anticipate a night like yours; my kids called today to say they were coming………tomorrow. I’ve been trying to get some straightening done in spurts all day long, and ultimately it will be what it is, not perfect but I want to be happy to see them not stressed!!
Your plans for the weekend sound fun, not sure what we will do, other than an impromptu early birthday for my 2 year old granddaughter!!!

A birthday for a 2-year-old sounds like a LOT of fun! My kids know me well enough to know they'll have clean sheets for sure, and anything else is a bonus (especially if we don't put them to work!)
Have a wonderful weekend enjoying your kids!

How fantastic that you enjoyed my nephew Alex’s videos so much that you blogged about them! Yes,they are a lot of fun…and this is my favorite Longostatikz video. By the way, on the 11th there will be a great “Aragon women” photo contest at my niece’s house in Madrid, with a non-family jury and all! It’s going
to be something else… We range in ages 23 to 65, and the Catergories are: Funny, Most Original, and Sexy. I can’t wait
to show you my “sexy”…I have a feeling it’s going to make you laugh.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your kids!
