I have this photography addiction, see, and just had to do something with it. If I don’t have my Nikon with me, I take photos with my iPhone. Houses, sunsets, clouds. I just can’t help myself.

So I started a photography blog, Confessions of a Photography Addict , a place to stash my overflow of photographs, write about photography, connect with other photographers, and share links to photography sites.

My obsession even evolved into a small photography business, Barbara Shallue Photography, although helping people with their real estate needs comes first, of course.

You can view or purchase my photos on RedBubble, 500px, and Fine Art America.  I also just like to share my photos and enjoy the works of others on FlickR and Instagram.

You have to admit… as far as addictions go, it’s one of the better ones!

    Hi Barbara-
First I absolutely love your photographs! I am a graphic designer and currently doing work for Morris Animal Foundation. Maybe you have heard of MAF, a non-profit foundation that invests in science that will advance veterinary medicine and improve the quality of life for companion animals, horses and wildlife. MorrisAnimalFoundation.org
I would like to request the use of “I see you” the beautiful horse photo shown on 500px for use on a brochure dedicated to securing major gifts from corporate donors.
I can send you pdfs of the layouts so you can see the usage if you would like. And, of course I would add photo credits.
Thank you for this consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

Robin, I am thrilled that you want to use my photo for such a worthy cause. Yes, I give you permission to use it for the brochure. I would like to see the pdfs of the layout and I appreciate adding the photo credits. You'll need a copyright release for the usage, won't you? Let me know where to send it and I will get one to you.

Your son’s graduation photos are great. I had the same experience . . . but with my wedding photos. A friend of my husband-to-be gave us his photography services as a gift. Oh, they were horrible!

Oh, no! Wedding photos are so critical – that's one area I avoid. I did take photos at a friend's wedding, but I wasn't THE photographer. She liked mine the best and keeps trying to get me to do weddings, but that takes a special skill that I don't think I have. Not yet, anyway.

I’m a photography addict also. I have no desire to do it professionally, but I think one of the reasons I like to travel so much is to take photos of new places and things.

That’s one of my favorite things to do, also!
