If you could peek inside my brain, this is what it would look like…

I feel as dry as our pond. Seeds of thought sprout in my brain, but there's nary a cloud of creativity in sight to nourish them. They're just withering away.

Time. That's what I need a bit more of right now. Free time to help those thoughts grow into big, beautiful finished products.

I know the rain will eventually fall and fill our pond to overflowing once again, so I believe Time will soon return to help me clean off my crowded backburners and get things cooking.

(Wait, how did I get from weather and nature metaphors to cooking? See what I mean? Completely dried up!)

I just hope that, despite the drought and unreliable creativity clouds and crowded backburners and mixed metaphors, I'm on the verge of blossoming, just like my crape myrtles.

But then I'll probably complain about being broke.

Happy Wednesday, anyway!

I think my brain resembles that dry cracked pond as well. Great metaphor! I do think this horrible heat has a lot to do with it. Hang in there! It’s got to rain on us soon. Even though you might feel uncreative at the moment, you expressed yourself so eloquently and humorously.

We actually got a few sprinkles tonight! But I'll go ahead and blame it on the heat anyway. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to squeeze just this little post out of my brain!!

It's an even trade for the smile you gave me with your post!

Ach, we all know that feeling, though few of us are able to express it so elequently! Thanks for making me smile, and for the record, if this is you “dry”, I think you have little to worry about..

I can so relate with a slight twist…my leading photo would be of a thick, misty fog. A lot of ideas swirling around in my brain. However, the chances of something coherent finding its way through the mist in a timely way are very slim.
Thanks for a humerous spin on “writer’s block”.

Now I’ll have to think about what my ‘dry’ looks like… at the moment my brain would look like a horder’s closet!

I had to really squeeze the sponge to get these few drops out (oops, there's another metaphor! sigh…)

Perhaps some rest and relaxation will help you bloom as beautifully as those flowers?

Ah I suspect it won’t be long before you’re sprouting a fine harvest. Enjoy other pleasures until the muse hits you. We’ll all still be here.
