For some reason, I thought this past week would have more time in it.

I thought by the time I headed to work at the Bistro this morning, I would be all caught up on everything, plus perhaps even a little ahead on a few things.

Well, I wasn't. But I refuse to give myself a hard time about it. There's always next week… (and if there's not, then none of it matters anyway, right?)

I was so scatterbrained this whole week that a dear friend's 50th birthday snuck up on me… I remembered in time to send an email and a text, but not in time to send the card I intended to send all week (it was even on my to-do list!)

Despite that, I actually kept track of my Sweets! each day. It appears I've managed to turn it into a habit. (Thank goodness! I needed another good one to balance out the bad ones!)

So here they are, a few of my sweet moments of this past crazy-busy airheaded week…

Saturday: running 1.5 miles in less than 15 minutes for the first time in 30+ years; watching the full moon rise over Lake Travis with your sweetie pie and thinking about all the full moons you've shared in the past 29 years; grilled rib-eye steak, baked potato with the works and cheesecake

Sunday: listening to an inspiring sermon on faith; miraculously getting to work on time; laughing over old episodes of Twin Peaks with your son

Monday: a morning walk with the full moon; news that your brother snuck off and got married over the weekend; hours and hours of writing

Tuesday: tons of prayer and sweet thoughts from your friends for your dad who is in the hospital; meeting a deadline

Wednesday: praying in a quiet, empty church; news that your dad passed his arteriogram with flying colors

Thursday: skipping on a dirt road; shopping with your frugal daughter; lots of reading time

Friday: hitting the clearance racks with your daughter, Part 2; satisfying your shoe addiction within your budget; watching a movie with your sweetie

Saturday: sleeping in (ahhhh!); time at work to snap lots of photos; news that your dad is passing all of his tests, even if the doctors can't figure out what's causing his problems and won't let him escape from the hospital yet

Hope you took time to notice your sweet moments, too!

Hopefully, no news is great news and they will let your dad go home soon. I’m impressed – you had time for all of this and got news shoes, too! I hope this coming week is filled with even better sweets for you!

So … did you actually watch the old Twin Peaks episodes, or were you reminiscing?
My father-in-law (90) checked himself into a hospital yesterday for chest pain, turned out to be a wrenched shoulder! I hope something similar for yours.

I'm so glad you're father-in-law played it safe and checked himself in, just in case.
Daniel and I were doing a little of both… watching old episodes on Netflix while I reminisced. I was surprised at how little I actually remembered! I think he ended up watching two or three seasons – he got a kick out of them!

There's something wrong when you already feel you're running out of time and it's only 7am Monday morning! Sigh.Guess I should be grateful I have so much to do, right?
