…even before my eyes pop open, I pray… giving thanks, asking for guidance, and for the needs of my loved ones.

That done, I stumble to the bathroom, splash water on my face, brush my teeth, "take care of business", and then head to the kitchen and start my coffee brewing.

I need a bit of quiet time over my coffee and cereal to gather my thoughts. I usually read something inspirational while I eat – currently "Hope for Each Day" by Billy Graham.

As the sun rises, I head outside for a walk with my camera and my puppies, paying attention to God's handiwork and continuing my prayers, asking specifically for strength for whatever the day brings.

I try to do the same (that is, say a prayer of some sort, usually of thanks) but I sometimes (like this morning) forget to do so. Shame on me. It’s the least I should do considering the life I have.

The good thing is He knows we're human (forgetful goofballs!) I forget some mornings too, but I think as long as we remember at some point, that's a plus!

I usually wake up at 4AM. At first I was all grumpy about it when it started happening to me years ago. It happens on a pretty regular basis. At some point it occurred to me that I could use that time to pray. It’s the only time there are no distractions and complete silence. 🙂 I fall back asleep, then get up and shower.

A walk out in nature, camera in hand will do it for me almost every time.

The same thing happens to me quite often. I've found that praying usually soothes me back to sleep – or at least helps me use that time wisely!

I get up at 5.15 and have some quiet time with a cup of coffee and my computer. My way of energizing myself comes when I take a morning walk with the dog – and sometimes the camera too.
    Love this pic!

Your morning sounds very similar to mine (I'm sitting here with my first cup right now!)

Alas, no. We're drying up here, all over again. Sigh.
