Thursday I was blessed to take some photographs for my new friend Lisa who needs to sell one of her Arabian colts. I know she doesn't want to sell that beautiful baby, but she's trying to be practical.

She plans to post my photos in several places, which might lead to more horse photography gigs for me. Sweet and double sweet

For some reason, I expected to be photographing baby horses… but instead she introduced me to two long-legged teenagers, full of sass, showing off, but still needing their mommas.

The magic of their beauty and energy erased any lingering fear of horses; I stood in the middle of the pasture, snapping photos as they bolted, trotted, kicked, pranced, and reared around me.

Aren't they gorgeous?  I'll post more later on my photography site.

And now, here are a few more sweet!s from this past week. I admit I haven't been as good about writing them down, but the important thing is I can feel them in my heart. I hope you have the same feeling, like your week was full of sweet! moments, even if you can't remember what they were..

Monday: riding a sweetheart horse named Ryan; teenagers excited to see you riding down their street on a horse and running after you to pet it; drinking a cold beer after a long ride; getting to know new friends

Tuesday: calls from your sweet sister and a friend;  catching up with another dear friend; cards in the mailbox, full of love, support, and condolences on the death of your Pop

Wednesday: riding horses along trails in a valley; horse nuzzles and nibbles; real creative progress on your book; an offer for a photography gig

Thursday: tiny yellow, white, and purple flowers blooming along the road, despite the heat and drought; discovering that people are still sharing their experiences on Jobs4Autism.com; photographing sassy colts; wiggly, happy dogs

Friday: your puppy's face watching for you in the morning through the French doors; a call from a stranger, knowing you'll help them find a ride to church; Darla's cooking and dinner with sweet friends; old weiner dogs; moonlight splashing on your livingroom floor

Saturday: your old puppy's face when he's swimming; 2/3 of your kids home; great advice and support from family and friends for your photography business; watching more "Breaking Bad" episodes with your hubby

Sunday: attending Mass with your husband and son; familiar faces showing up to eat at the winery where you work; laughing with your kids at your husband's old photos, especially those of his old girlfriends; your sister taking the time to play with business card designs for you; more "Breaking Bad" episodes; getting to bed before midnight for the first time in weeks

Monday: walking at sunrise for the first time in weeks; dog kisses; your old puppy finally eating all of his food and supplements for you

I think catching the action of these horses with your shutter would be fun.

I just love your horse pics. So happy you got a promo gig. Hope it brings you some business. I think I should go out and find some food gigs. I rather like taking pics of inanimate objects. Don’t miss my grapes–please excuse the shameless sel-promotion!!

Thanks, Lissa! I love photographing inanimate things, too, but I'm not that great at food photos. Good luck to you! I'll go check out your grapes!! 🙂

Ah, thank you! But it certainly helps that the horses are so beautiful and spirited!

Good morning … love the photos of the Arabians and the quote you ended on. In the interests of helping you to “get your blog in front of a wider audience,” I also hit your twitter share button and sent this out into cyberspace. Gotta love technology. Sometimes.

It's a constant struggle for me to have the right attitude! Maybe I just got used to the constant 'attitude adjustment'. 🙂 May God bless you, too, Jim!
