The past few days have been a blur between working at the winery, job applications, taking care of the puppies, a little bit of writing…and watching movies.

I've watched four since Friday night and I'll be watching another one in just a few minutes. I'm not sure if I've ever watched that many in such a short time, but if I have, it was a long, long time ago.

But TG has been hanging out with me this weekend because we had someone quit at the last minute at the winery and thank goodness my sweet girl agreed to help us out at a special dinner last night.

She had as much serving experience as I had when I started – none! But she caught on fast and having her there made the night seem more like fun and less like work.

Sweet, right?

Here are a few other sweet! moments from this past week…

Wednesday: happy dogs on a morning walk; fields of Texas thistle and Mexican hats growing in dry pond bottoms; finishing the editing of a photo shoot

May 13-9

Thursday: your customer loving the photos you took of her family; Daddy-Long-Legs; moths the size of hummingbirds

Ddll and moth may 13-13-2

Friday: wishing your mother-in-law a happy 80th birthday, even if it's via the telephone; spinach quesadillas and Happy Hour frozen margaritas; giggling through "Night at the Roxbury" and "Saturday Night Fever" with your daughter

Saturday: hearing that your dear friend is better and will probably be released from the hospital that day; making it through a 13-hour workday, and teaming up with your daughter for the second half; sampling roasted duck and shrimp croquettes; staying up late after work to watch "Napoleon Dynamite" with your daughter even though you're both exhausted; Napoleon Dynamite's dance routine; baby grapes

June 13-24

Sunday: waking to the sound of rain; visiting with friends at church; time to publish flower photos on your photography blog before heading to work; finally watching all of "Cool Runnings" after years of only catching the end

Wishing you a week blurry with sweet! moments!

(I'd love to hear about some of yours from this past week! Please share them in the comments.)

That’s great that your daughter was able to help out even though she had no experience, and great that your boss was willing to let her try instead of letting you guys go short staffed.
I’m really trying to watch more movies, I even bought a few last time I went to Walmart but the other night I only made it through half of Silver Linings Playbook before I got too distracted and had to turn it off. Oh well, maybe next weekend…

Sounds like both an exhausting and fun weekend. Mine flew by too. Yesterday we had volunteered to work a booth at the MOSS (Montana Outdoor Science School) Watershed Festival. Our boyscout troop helped so they could get service hours. It was a lot of fun. We had the fish print station. I even got to decorate my apron. Today I slept in. Go figure.

My kids did fish prints years ago. I still have their shirts somewhere. So cool!! I'm hoping to sleep in at least a little bit tomorrow. But then I'll probably regret it later when I run out of time for everything! Sigh.

Oh, I love that movie! One of the few I've seen at the theater recently. I hope you get a chance to watch the rest of it. Pretend you're in the theater with nothing else you can do.

My weekend involved playing catchup on my recorded shows (it’s going to take MUCH longer than a weekend) all day dance recital on Saturday, a nice, quiet Saturday night (with son gone) and laundry and a few house chores on Sunday, along with early morning rain.

I think feeling like you're almost caught up on anything is pretty sweet! (I rarely experience it! Sigh.) I believe your rain passed by us early this morning, accompanied by lots of thunder and lightning. But my mom says they just got the rain. I'm glad!

During my daughter’s last two summers before high school graduation, I hired her as my assistant. I loved working with her and cherished those days, lunching together and getting to spend so much time with her. I can relate! Lovely series of photos. So glad your clients loved their photoshoot. I’m not surprised. ๐Ÿ™‚

She worked with me one summer at my old job and I loved it. My older son worked with me at another place two summers. My middle one and I never have worked together, although I keep hoping I can get a job at the library where he now works. So far no such luck. Sigh.

My weeks are getting to be a bit blurry as well. I guess I missed that you worked at/owned a winery. That is so sad ๐Ÿ˜‰
