1. Max can still run. Considering all the times over the past couple of years I thought the "early lameness" diagnosis was coming true, watching him disappear into the woods with Belle after a deer makes my heart soar!

2. After a year of posting an old piano on Craig's List, I finally sold it back in August. The woman asked if she could pick it up in a week or so because they were going on vacation.

I haven't heard a word since and she doesn't respond to my emails. So…can I sell it again? Anyone know the protocol on things like this?

3. Two years ago I started using minoxidil for my thinning hair. I blogged about it at the beginning, and then a year later with the results. I also published that post on Vibrant Nation, where it triggered conversations that are still going on today.

It makes me feel good knowing my post triggered that dialog, and possibly provided a solution, for other women who struggle with the same problem.

4. Yesterday it was in the 80's here. This morning we woke to drizzly 40's that steadily dropped all day.

Brrrr! How do you people up north live with this for months and months?

5. I spent a lot of time looking up this week…

Hi Barb, lovely photos of the sky. I’m happy about all your good and positive news this week. My daughter has a part time job as a dog groomer while she’s finishing her uni degree and sees shepherds or crosses with hip problems quite often. I hope Max continues to do well. Also hope your weekend turns out to be a good (and warm) one. 🙂

“…into the woods with Belle after a deer makes my heart soar!” I bet the deer’s heart beats a little quicker too! Nice that your long time friend is still running.
Another reason I don’t like Craigslist. – Selling a big piano is difficult anyway you do it I guess but I like e-bay for reasons like this.

I don't have a lot of experience with e-bay yet. I was hoping to get a local buyer. There's no way I could ship it!! 🙂 But my husband bought a large television on e-bay years ago and drove four hours one way to pick it up, so I guess maybe someone else would, too!

It's so common in large dogs, and Max is a German Shepherd/Great Dane mix . Besides the hip issues, he developed elbow dysplasia as a puppy, and we were warned he could be completely lame by the time he was 7. He turned 10 this year, so I'm ecstatic that he's still able to walk, much less run! He's a sweetheart! I hope you have a wonderful, warm weekend, Veronica!

I think I'd need a new wardrobe if I lived anywhere farther north! And lots of clothing tips!

I would speak to a lawyer to know if you have the right to sell the piano again. Quite possibly, something happened to the woman but you never know if she will come around and demand the piano at some point. Knowing your rights can help you decide what to do with it.
And how do we handle 40F up north? Ha! That’s downright balmy.. today reached a high of 23. The season is just beginning.

Brrrrrr! And you have pretty high humidity, too, don't you? I think that's when it gets to me. Good advice speaking to a lawyer about the piano. I hope nothing happened to her. I think she's a photographer who possibly wanted to use it as a prop and then changed her mind. Or can't get anyone to help her with it. We didn't ask much for it. I hope that's all it is!

Thanks for sharing all that sky.
And I know what you mean about living in the 40’s…..I can’t even
begin to imagine my blood getting thick enough to do this for days
and even months on end. I’m a southern girl….I love it when it’s
brisk but not cold. This weather hurts my bones.
Glad for you and all your sweets.
(I’d sell the piano to whoever is interested at this point)

I'm a southern girl, too, loving 'brisk' and a week's vacation stomping around in Colorado snow. That's about all the cold I can stand! You just have to wear too many clothes, for one thing. 🙂

It take me some time to scroll down and find the reply box for some reason. I do think you can re-sell that piano after two weeks of no reply if she did not make a deposit. Send one more email and state that you are going to put it back up for sale if you do not hear from her. Those skies are so lovely, I think most are contrails which is sad for us. Now going to read you blog links.

The lady already paid for the piano, through paypal! I verified the funds were there. Otherwise, I’d have no problem – it would still be posted on Craig’s List! I just wonder if she found something she liked better and figures it’s not worth her time letting me know. No, those weren’t contrails. It was just an unusual pattern of clouds all over the sky. So beautiful!

Yes, a little farther west they got some sleet and snow. At times I wish it would just ahead and snow if it’s going to be so dang cold here! Back to sunshine in the Hollow today, hallelujah! I can only take so much of the gray. Happy Thanksgiving, Cyndee!!
